Artist Statement

I have always admired the multi-sport champion, Mildred “Babe” Didrikson Zaharias, who succeeded in any sport that she attempted including the 1932 Summer Olympics and the world of golf

I used silk, cotton and batik fabrics. I also embellished with fancy yarn and rubber stamping. I used raw edge applique and machine quilting to assemble my quilt.
