Minnie Pearl

I love to laugh, and grew up watching Hee Haw on TV. One of my favorite characters was Minnie Pearl with the crazy hat and price tag. The background is gingham like so many of her dresses and the hat and price tag are synonymous with Minnie Pearl.

The HOWDEE! is in pink to evoke the struggles that Sarah Cannon, the creator of Minnie Pearl, had with breast cancer and the inspiration she gave to many through her contributions to research and medical care for cancer patients.

A microphone is quilted in the background, similar to one used on the Grand Ole Opry and other TV shows.

Minnie Pearl was the first comedienne, male or female, to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
