Artist Statement

The red bull in this creation is a bit of an oxymoron suggesting a slightly feminine version of the famous Wall Street Bull. She symbolizes the talented successful women that work in the financial industry.

After having spent just a few years of my career as a stock broker, I had a small taste of the male domination that is still present in the financial industry today. Women who succeed in this industry must be twice as smart and every bit as aggressive as their male counterparts.

Woman’s Groundbreaking Accomplishment

On December 28, 1967 Muriel Faye Siebert became the first woman to purchase her own seat on the New York Stock Exchange at a cost of $445,000.
