Artist Statement
I am an admirer of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for so many reasons: her unflagging support for gender equality, her decisions regarding all human rights and the compassion she brings to all her court proceedings. But I have to admit that what makes me a true RBG junkie is the lace. All those jabots – different collars for different occasions. A majority opinion collar! A dissent collar! Her style has captured the imagination and loyalty of a generation of young people. “Notorious RGB” now has a cult-like following. It is that light-hearted image that I hoped to portray here.
